As a person who has been a business undergraduate student taking a marketing class, and a full-time lecturer, my teaching philosophy can be summarized as one focused phrase on ‘how to build a meaningful relationship’. A professor in the business school needs to be able to 'create' the relationship, 'manage' the relationship, and 'provide' meaning to it. This is true regardless of whether the relationship is between business concepts and business practices, in class and out of class, or the personal relationship between professor and students. |

Selected Student Comments (from Marketing Management, Winter 2014)
"Eunsoo was an amazing teacher. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, charismatic, and welcoming. She made the class feel comfortable, and above all else, she cared about her students."
"I loved the final project and Eunsoo was a great instructor. She really cared about us as students and worked hard to make sure we understood the material. Also the funny examples she used in class were great!" |
"Eunsoo is a warmhearted instructor who cares a lot about how her students are doing. When students need help or recommendation from her she'll always be there. She answers students' email in the midnight, and that was simply amazing. Also, it is very obvious that she spends a lot of time preparing for the class. ... Overall I would describe her as a professional and diligent teacher."

"The material was very relevant, and related to many products and brands us students knew. Eunsoo engaged everyone in class and asked questions. Eunsoo came very prepared for each class and was very clear in explanations. The videos used were all very relevant and illustrated concepts, etc. The group project (and the fact it was split into parts) was a great somewhat-hands-on experience to apply concepts into an actual business. I loved seeing everyone's final presentations too. Some were quite convincing."
